Presentation Outline

Over the past few years Canada has made tremendous efforts towards understanding its relationship and responsibilities to Indigenous peoples. Through this lunch presentation attendees will:

develop a stronger understanding of Indigenous history;
understand how the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and United Nations Declaration Rightsof Indigenous Peoples are relevant to the job of a planner;
learn how some Canadian cities and international companies are taking up the call for reconciliation and working more effectively with Indigenous peoples; and,
acquire some practical tools and processes for more meaningful Indigenous engagement.
