Director of Planning and Engagement

James Mazak is a Registered Professional Planner and brings 20+ years of diverse experience in planning, designing, and management of land development projects. He has a comprehensive approach to planning and engagement, as well as expertise in working within complex multi-jurisdictional and sensitive environments. He is also adept at successfully collaborating with diverse clients and community groups to bring about mutually beneficial outcomes. James has extensive experience with project management, organization, design, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, the public, and approving authorities.

James has worked extensively throughout North America leading strategic land acquisitions, land assemblies, due diligence, planning, development approvals of resorts, senior living, care centres, and mixed-use developments. This experience has given him a unique insight into different approaches and practices of planning process and implementation, which has enabled James to develop an effective and efficient approach to evaluating and implementing land development projects.

Engagement and Communications Coordinator

Katrina has a Bachelor of Communications degree, majoring in Public Relations, from Mount Royal University. Katrina's experience with her education and working with non-profit organizations has allowed her to develop the written and verbal communication skills needed to develop effective communications strategies. Her particular interests in graphic design and digital media inspired her to create informative, aesthetically pleasing content that increases engagement within an organization’s community. Through her experience, Katrina understands the importance of building and maintaining relationships with key audiences and is motivated to create lasting, impactful work.

Jaimie has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, major in Accounting from Mount Royal University. She has a solid understanding of theories and applied principles in the accounting field.

Jaimie is responsible for generating and supporting all forms of financial accounts within the organization including financial statements, revenue reports, and accounting procedures that are developed and coordinated. Serves as lead over function such as accounts receivable, and project administration.

Jaimie has strong organizational skills and is committed to continual learning and developing new skills. She also has a positive attitude and places a great importance on personal and professional integrity, where employers, clients, and suppliers can rely on her to handle sensitive information.

Planning Intern

Harjee is a dedicated individual pursuing a Master of Planning degree at the University of Calgary. With a profound passion for architecture, urban design, and planning, he aims to expand his expertise in these fields. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and being a licensed architect in India, Harjee has gained valuable experience working on diverse projects in India, Spain and USA. However, his aspirations go beyond individual structures, as he seeks to make a positive impact on communities and cities. By combining his architectural skills with his passion for planning, Harjee strives to create sustainable and inclusive communities, contributing to the field of community building and planning.

Taylor recently completed their undergraduate degree of a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies with distinction at the University of Lethbridge in December 2022. Their academic knowledge and skills are grounded in empathy-based research that is decolonial and anti-oppressive. They have qualitative research experience focused on Indigenous legal studies, Indigenous feminism, and intersectionality, as well as a growing interest in sustainable community development. They have also been an active community organizer on campus and throughout the broader community regarding topics such as reproductive justice, 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, and combating violence against women and girls. Taylor is excited to contribute, learn, and grow from the continued success of Aubin Consulting

Yaminci has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting, from MacEwan University. Her education and work experience has allowed her to develop her skills in invoicing, accounts payables and receivables, as well as expense tracking.

Her strong communication skills allow her to build strong relationships with clients and her team members. She has strong professional integrity and positive attitude, which she places high importance to in every interaction. Her attention to detail aids her in extensive transaction and reporting auditing. Her creative skills allow her to come up with solutions in a timely manner and ensure quality is not affected when implementing solutions.

She has experience in event coordination, customer service, transportation and insurance. Through her experience she has learnt the importance of creating and building relations.

Jason is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing degree at the University of Calgary. His education has provided him with knowledge and skills in analyzing and developing marketing strategy as well as promoting customer engagement. Jason hopes to use his skills collaborate on projects and use gathered research and analytical skills to reach an optimized solution. He is a keen advocate for healthy-long sustainable relationships and values them as they are key driving forces for successful business. Aligning with Aubin’s goals, Jason takes part in Aubin’s vision of providing help and creating awareness to unrecognized groups for the better of the world. He is experienced in areas of qualitative research, monetization, promotion, sales. and digital media creation. Jason is excited to contribute to the continued success of Aubin Consulting.
